About the Role

• The main responsibilities of this role entail ensuring that foreign suppliers and their food products comply with U.S. federal regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage foreign supplier onboarding and conduct supplier qualification review 
• Perform direct import product reviews for food safety, quality, and labeling
• Coordinate USDA and FDA inspection and testing of imported products
• Collaborate with the Import Team, Purchasing team, and vendors to address regulatory and product issues 
• Manage and maintain the Foreign Supplier Verification Program 
• Monitor, track, and communicate the progress of importation shipments 
• Handle importation permit applications
• Manage customer complaints related to direct import products, including investigation, data analysis, and vendor performance tracking
• Conduct assigned regulation research Provide support to the manager on designated projects

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in food regulatory or Master’s degree in food science 
• Food labeling experience and knowledge of the HACCP plan are a must; 
• Proficient in both Chinese and English is a must
• Experience in supplier management, with FSVP experience considered advantageous. 
• Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations, GFSI standards, and preferably
• Critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

Compensation Range

• The US base salary range for this full-time position is $66,560 - $75,000
• This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits 
• Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
